To achieve a transparent bidding process either by purchase, license, acquisition, selection or contract, it must be accountable, competitive, consistent, effective, valuable, fair-dealing and integrity.
This was disclosed when the National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer (NC/CEO), Africa Union Development Agency/New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA/NEPAD) Nigeria, Hon. Jabiru Salisun Abdullahi Tasauri, on 6th January, 2025, at the opening of Technical Bid for supplementary contracts in line with the Procurement Act 2007 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Hon. Jabiru, assured bidders, Civil Society Organisations, Members of Tender Board and the General Public, that the Agency under his watch will conduct a transparent bidding process to derive better results.
Salisun added that in his tenure, he will ensure only qualified applicants will be selected for the award of contracts.
He encouraged those who were not able to make it this time to try again subsequently.
AUDA/NEPAD BOSS, uses this medium to express his satisfaction for the presence of Civil Society Organisations in attendance to observe the procurement bidding process.
In appreciation, He gave kudos to the Procurement Unit under the leadership of Mrs Lami Bako Daikwo, who provided all necessary apparatus and ensured they were duly followed.
In her speech, the Head of Procurement Unit and Secretary Tender Board, Mrs. Lami Bako Daikwo, appreciated AUDA/NEPAD BOSS for his commitments and supports to make the procurement process a success.
Mrs. Daikwo added that the Agency was able to secure supplementary approval and needed procedure for the award of contracts.
The technical bid process was transparent for all, and the qualified companies were displaced openly.
