The AWHPI Global Foundation has announced the selection of *Dr. Princess Aderemi Folashade Adebowale*, National Programme Manager of the *National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP)*, as one of its distinguished *2026 Ambassadors for Peace Honorees*.
Dr. Adebowale will be honoured during the Foundation’s high-level programming and Awards Ceremony on *Monday, September 22, 2026*, as part of the *UNGA 81 Side Events in New York City*.
The recognition celebrates Dr. Adebowale’s sterling performance and transformative leadership in Nigeria’s school feeding programme and her commitment to humanitarian service, inclusion, and sustainable development.
The Ambassadors for Peace Honors recognizes global leaders whose work reflects the values of *peace, humanitarian service, leadership, inclusion, sustainable development, and global cooperation* – all aligned with the *United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030*.

The honour is a major endorsement of the Federal Government’s *Renewed Hope Agenda* and the impact of the NHGSFP in improving nutrition, boosting school enrollment, and empowering local farmers across Nigeria.
Under Dr. Adebowale’s leadership, the NHGSFP has continued to expand reach and strengthen transparency in the delivery of meals to millions of Nigerian pupils, while creating jobs and market access for smallholder farmers.
“This honour represents more than recognition. it is a call to action for leaders to use their influence and platforms to advance practical solutions for peace and sustainable development,” the foundation stated.
The three-day AWHPI Global programme, holding from *September 21–23, 2026*, will feature high-level dialogues, keynote addresses, panel sessions, the _AWHPI Global Honors & Awards_, networking, and exclusive UN Headquarters activities for participating delegates.
