The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer(NC/CEO) SERVICOM Presidency, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli has appealed to Nigerians to provide accurate information for investigation to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC).

Mrs Akajemeli made the appeal at the Unveiling of the Service Charter of the Commission in Abuja today,Tuesday November 28th,2024.

She said that ICPC expects citizens to actively support instances of corruption and support investigations by providing truthful and accurate information as contained in the Service Charter.

‘’According to her,’’ A Service Charter is simply a document which represents and expresses the commitments of MDA’s towards their customers in respect of service standards,information,choice and consultation,non-discrimination and accessibility,grievance redress mechanism,courtesy and value for money’’.

Mra Akajemeli pointed out that, the unveiling of the ICPC Service Charter to all its stakeholders today marks a significant step towards service improvement in the Commission.

‘’However,its implementation will determine how well ICPC is positioned to really improve on the services provided to the citizens/stakeholders’’, she added.

The National Coordinator emphasized the need for ICPC to implement their service charter by ensuring wide publicity,while adding that full implementation, will make ICPC and its SERVICOM Unit to be repositioned to function optimally thus ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.

She mentioned that the way forward includes; timely response to complaints from citizens, for the Commission to improve the feedback system to enable people to easily share their concerns and suggestions about ICPC services and providing timely responses to these inputs will reinforce the Commission commitment to addressing public needs effectively and amongst others.

In his response the Executive Chairman of the Commission Dr Musa Ali,represented by the Secretary of the Commission, Mr Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu explained that the Charter will help the Commission to track and monitor its operations and activities, henceforth, create room for the citizens to hold them accountable.

Ali explained that ICPC must have a projection in investigating and prosecution of cases,adding that there should be a time-line for proper planning,assuring utmost collaboration with the Commission’s SERVICOM unit for maintain quality service delivery.
